What is worth writing to us about

This address is read by a person, not a bot, so we take specific reports seriously. Three kinds of message are the most useful to us:

• An error in the calculations. Tell us which calculator, what data you entered and what result you think is correct. The calculation engine has a set of unit tests, so every report like this ends with a new test - whether or not the error is confirmed.
• A question about the methodology. If you disagree with an assumption we base a result on - for example the buffer for rate rises in the borrowing capacity calculator - say so. We describe all our assumptions on the about and methodology page, but a description is no substitute for a discussion.
• Outdated information in a guide. Regulations and rates change. We date every text - if you can see that a text has aged, let us know exactly what needs correcting.

What we will not do: we will not assess your borrowing capacity based on an e-mail, we will not advise you which loan to choose, and we will not put you in touch with a bank. We are neither an intermediary nor a financial adviser - we say so plainly in the terms of use.
